Cluster Inspector is where you fix clusters, one at a time.
Focus next
Three cards at the top: the clusters under 70% health where work pays off most — low health weighted by size, plus articles with no links to them. Each card says what the main problem is. Click one to open it.
Clusters: list or map
The List is grouped into sections the way visitors see the site — the top items of your main menu, or your top-level categories. Make your own groups with + New group and drag clusters onto them, or set Group to None for one flat list. Sort by any column and filter by health band, type or name; Export CSV downloads what the list shows.
The Map draws how clusters link to each other — which are hubs and which are isolated — and follows the same filters.
Quick view
The eye next to a cluster’s name opens a quick view: health and its trend, links inside, into and out of the cluster, orphans, the role mix, the pillar, meta descriptions and the articles to start with. ← and → step through the other clusters in the list. The same quick view opens from the cluster table in the Report.
Opening a cluster
The panel under the cluster’s row shows its health, shape and roles, its link graph and Articles in this cluster — each with role, links in and out, score and words. Click a row to open the article in Article Inspector. Entropy, Gini and Density are folded away under Structure figures.
Expand shows the graph full screen. Click an article to see its whole title, picture, links in and out and score; click a name in its link lists to jump to that article in the graph.
The medal button on each row chooses that article as the cluster’s pillar. See Pillars.
Improve this cluster
A numbered list of fixes, most important first:
- Quick wins: unlinked mentions — sentences in the cluster that already mention another article without linking. Apply one or all; undo any.
- Link articles that need it — orphans and lightly linked articles, with the best articles to link from.
- Missing content (Pro) — Gap Analysis: articles the cluster is missing; each can become a brief or a draft.
- Pillar & split check (Pro) — for clusters of 6 or more articles: does the pillar fit, and should a broad cluster become smaller ones? See Pillar & split check.
With Pro, Analyse cluster in the cluster’s header adds an AI analysis of its structure and content.
