What’s new in
Clusterlane

Every release, documented — the full list is in the plugin’s readme.

A new name: Clusterlane

ClusterIQ is now Clusterlane. Sites that ran ClusterIQ keep everything: on the first load Clusterlane switches the old plugin off and takes over its clusters, history, settings and access rules.

  • New Pro and Agency are licensed per site; the free version and Pro never run at the same time, and share the same data
  • New Help → Admin & Support: a Site structure section — post types, taxonomies, articles in no cluster and where something stands out
  • Improved Phones: Missing content, Pillar & split check and the AI Link Suggestion window fit the screen
  • Improved Code reviewed against the WordPress.org Plugin Check, with no remarks
  • Fix Text Match: titles with an apostrophe or quotes no longer show as HTML codes

A review of every screen, and safer SEO edits

Every screen was gone through for clarity: one bar that fits, one name per thing, one colour for the main button. SEO Titles gets a compact view and AI per article, and every SEO change can now be taken back to the original.

  • New Cluster quick view: health trend, links, pillar and where to start — from Report and the Cluster Inspector list
  • New Restore original: the first time Clusterlane changes an SEO title or description, the original is kept
  • New Pro: Check with AI in Article Inspector, next to Suggest
  • New SEO Titles: compact view, Suggest and Check with AI per article, live counts on the filters
  • New Focus next on the Dashboard too
  • New Full-screen cluster graph: an article panel with the whole title, picture, links in and out — click a name to go there
  • Improved The top bar fits on every screen, with a More menu; Scan is the only button — it updates every figure
  • Improved Every button that runs an AI call is marked as one
  • Improved Pro: calmer, more consistent AI reviews of SEO titles and descriptions
  • Improved Pro: cluster ideas with AI work on sites with 10,000 articles
  • Fix The graph’s link count no longer includes the archive page’s edges
  • Fix Weak meta descriptions were undercounted in the Report

Any taxonomy, pages as clusters

Tested on a travel atlas built with custom post types, theme templates and ACF relationship fields — sites that look nothing like a blog.

  • New Clusters from any taxonomy, not only categories and tags
  • New Pages as clusters: islands and their areas, linked through ACF fields
  • New Reads the published page, so links your theme builds count too — in the background, four pages at a time
  • New Text Match: Apply all, with Stop and Undo run
  • Improved The graphs draw the same picture on every visit, with a note on how they are laid out

SEO Titles, the Report and big sites

A page for every SEO title and description, a report to show the work, and the speed for sites with thousands of articles — tested with 10,000 WooCommerce products and with real Claude calls on every AI feature.

  • New SEO Titles: every article’s SEO title and description in one list, edited by hand; AI suggestions and Check with AI in Pro
  • New Pro: Report with daily history, work done and what to do next — print or PDF
  • New Pro: Pillar & split check and Review cluster structure
  • New Pro: Link to the pillar at the end of every article in a cluster
  • New WooCommerce: product categories as clusters, products with their own score
  • New Multilingual sites (Polylang, WPML): links within the same language
  • New Sections like your site’s menu in Cluster Inspector, and your own groups
  • New Export CSV in Article Inspector, SEO Titles and Cluster Inspector
  • New Who can change articles: choose per role who may add links and write SEO fields
  • Improved Text Match about 13 times faster — 15,000 pages in under two minutes
  • Improved Hundreds of clusters and clusters of thousands of articles stay quick
  • Improved Links written as http, without www or to an old slug now count
